burien-pressWe’ve been going to Burien Press since they opened back in the summer.  It’s the only hip and cool place to get coffee in Burien. Relaxed atmosphere with the employees in jeans and t-shirts, tattoos and Bright Eyes playing in the background. The coffee is consistently amazing because all the baristas are experienced.  After talking with one of the owners, he mentioned it was built using local vendors and with recycled products.  The Synesso Espresso machine is also a Seattle based company.

The drip coffee is all french pressed.  Coffee is supplied by a local roasting company Cafe Vita.  They have free wi-fi with lots of available plug ins.  Bar stools in the window looking out to the new library, individual tables and chairs, a big table for larger groups or if you need some extra room, plus outside seating in the summer.  Cool and unique magazines to read or purchase.  Local art on the wall.  Fresh bread from Macrina Bakery, pastries, and sandwiches.

Look for their “buy 1 get 1 free” for any specialty drink ordered in The Best of Burien coupon book that comes in the mail.  We used ours this morning and she already had our double-short americano’s started when we came through the door.  It’s getting busier and busier in there every time we go, it’s no doubt they’re building their reputation.  Go check it out if you haven’t already.
